JOB DESCRIPTION

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of systems, especially around indexing and processing very large volumes of DeFi-related data.

You will work closely with the Engine team to structure and optimize both raw data and processed data, which currently numbers in hundreds of millions of points and is set to scale into hundreds of billions.

Your work will have a direct impact on the platform’s ability to process rewards accurately and efficiently on-chain, and provide users with high-performance analytics via the front-end.

The goal: to enable the platform to manage tens of millions of beneficiaries per campaign and billions globally, by building the most scalable reward engine in DeFi

YOUR SKILLS

Your missions will include:

• Design and maintain a robust and scalable infrastructure for high-speed data indexing and processing.
• Collaborate with the technical team to improve data structuring, storage, and queryability.
• Evaluate and implement growth-appropriate data architecture choices, including alternatives to growth trees.
• Storage strategy, as the platform evolves.
• Support the product team by optimizing data flows and backends for front-end analytical needs, ensuring low latency and maximum reliability.
• Implement observability best practices: monitoring, alerting and tracing of critical services and pipelines.
• Automate deployment pipelines, infrastructure and configuration management to ensure smooth and predictable releases.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery across all systems in production.
• Maintain a high level of security on the infrastructure, including secrets management, network policies, and access controls.

You are a passionate and experienced engineer, comfortable in fast-paced and innovative environments.

• Curious with a strong technical culture: you are passionate about crypto, and you like to understand how things work in depth, especially in DeFi protocols. You like to dig into technical details to solve complex problems and optimize systems.

• DeFi-driven: You believe in the potential of decentralized finance and want to push the boundaries. You have:
• Solid experience with cloud infrastructure, in particular Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its tools (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, etc.).
• A good understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and experience with tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent.
• A mastery of CI/CD pipelines, with experience in automating builds, tests, and deployments (e.g., GitHub Actions, Cloud Build).
• A good knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Strong skills in monitoring, logging and observability, with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or equivalent.
• A security-aware approach with experience managing access, secrets, and compliance across cloud infrastructures.
• An ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and be end-to-end accountable for tasks.

Bonus:

• Knowledge of DeFi protocols, smart contracts, or EVM-based ecosystems.
• Previous experience with Rust and/or Typescript.
• Experience in building or maintaining high-performance analytical systems.
