JOB DESCRIPTION

As a research engineer, you’ll be at the heart of exploring and prototyping new use cases based on our powerful indexing and incentive engine. What started as a high-resolution yield distribution platform has evolved into a rich layer of data and protocols with untapped potential. Your mission will be to help go beyond just distributing incentives by imagining, designing, and validating new applications — ranging from marketing intelligence tools and asset management dashboards to tax reporting solutions, and much more.

You will work closely with the research manager to assess the feasibility, performance and scalability of new concepts, while working closely with the engine team to fully understand the technical basics, and continuously exploring new concepts that you will validate through practical prototypes.

YOUR SKILLS

Your responsibilities will include:

• Gain an in-depth understanding of the data model, protocol integrations, and incentive engine mechanisms.
• Design and develop proofs of concept (PoCs) for new features or products, using on-chain and off-chain data layers.
• Propose and lead your own lines of research, identifying opportunities from emerging trends in DeFi, finance or blockchain analysis.
• Contribute to the evolution of the platform's core engine.
• Engage with partners and early adopters to gather feedback and iterate quickly on developed concepts.

  You:

• Very good abstraction skills and a great speed of learning.
• The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and take full responsibility for your projects.
• A solid background in programming (Rust, Python, etc.) and an ability to prototype quickly.
• A good understanding of DeFi protocols and the blockchain ecosystem in general.
• A curious mind, capable of designing and conducting research avenues independently.
• A concrete approach with a strong analytical mind — comfortable with code, data and product thinking.
• A taste for rapid iteration, backtesting, and validation of prototypes from blockchain data, real-time or historical.

  It's a plus if you have:

• Already developed in-house research tools or worked in an R&D or startup environment.
• Experience in asset management, fintech, or blockchain analytics platforms.
• A good understanding of financial concepts such as P&L, RPA/APY, fund composition or portfolio analysis.
• Proven experience in solving complex mathematical problems.

INTERVIEW PROCEDURES

• Pre-selection interview (30 min): discussion with a member of the team to deepen your background.
• Technical case study at home (maximum 2 hours): preliminary technical evaluation related to the position.
• Technical interview (1h): discussion around the case study, technical questions and problem solving.
• Cultural Compatibility Interview (1 hour): exchange with members of the team you could join.
• Final interview (45 min): discussion with the co-founders.
